Independent Chair – come work for us!

The Independent Chair of the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Adults Board will provide strong strategic leadership in delivering the adult safeguarding agenda in Oxfordshire. You will ensure that the OSAB operates strategically to deliver its key objectives and functions as set out in the Care Act (2014).

Building on the good work already completed, you will possess the ability to lead, influence and motivate others. You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of adult safeguarding and a clear commitment to working collaboratively with partners to improve outcomes for adults at risk of abuse and/or neglect.

You must have experience of developing and maintaining strong strategic and business relationships across a range of organisations, resulting in changes in policy and practice to improve safeguarding outcomes.

The OSAB Independent Chair is accountable to the Chief Executive of Oxfordshire County Council and will directly link with the Director for Adult Services.
